Thank you, Target!

I WAS not a big fan of retail stores when it comes to shopping for apparel..Notice the all caps for the word was?
It's because I suddenly changed my opinion about them, well... just a few. After my "weekend splurge" blog post, I can't seem to
stop myself from using my new shoes[my navy blue Mossimo's] from Target. Even the tribal shorts[Mossimo] wasn't an exception[wore the shorts
on Monday during my trip home from Bellflower and on Thursday when I was doing the groceries.
Poor thing had to be washed twice already in less than a week... =[

Since today is my last day of brief relaxation before going back to school tomorrow, I set aside all my schoolwork and checked out
what's good at Target, my new-found savior and friend[those shoes really are comfortable!!!!]
And here are a few of what I found[and probably what I will be buying]:

As of the moment,I'm still browsing through one brand and I already placed a lot on my wishlist.haha
I think I'll end my entry today coz I still have to get back to doing my homework...
after shopping online,that is! =]
Happy Sunday, Monday everyone!!!

Weekend Splurge. $$

Date Check: April 20, 2012
I'm quite confused whether it's a good thing because I spent less this month
[groceries and monthly bills NOT INCLUDED],
or it's a bad thing coz maybe something is wrong with me..jk haha
As I said earlier to myself, "the month hasn't ended yet,and I still have a few more days to go".
haha

...and this one's not even for myself! =]

Let the memories begin

I wonder if Webster has a definition to describe how happy I was last Monday.
Picture a kid with one of those big lollipops in his hand...that smile that stretches from one ear to the other.
That was how I felt.

Being twenty-something didn't stop me from releasing the kid inside my heart.
I had fun. I had a great time.
And I would so go back there eventhough it's scorching hot during midday.lol

Back on track.

It felt like my life has been cut off from the outside world. Weeks after weeks of doing nothing
but projects, research papers, and studying[if you call skimming through textbook pages studying],
certainly drained my life force and could possibly be the reason why I couldn't stay away from food for a long time
[please remind me to step on the scale later today, and pray that I won't pass out if the results aren't pleasant].

After I shaded the last few numbers of my scantron [Music 111 midterm], it just hit me, "I am two numbers away from a week of freedom!"
[it kinda makes me think right now if I answered those 2 questions right...I hope I did].
But yeah, SPRINGBREAK!!!!

One week is more than enough for me to relax. I don't even mind doing homework and reviewing for my other midterm exams over the weekend...
I just want to stay away from school and not wake up early...Now that I 'm done jumping around my room because of total excitement, it would be
a good thing if I start planning on what to bring, what to do, what to where, and of course, where to go.. Considering all the places are locked in, then let me scratch the last one.

It's not going to be grand like my other classmates who are going to spend their vacay somewhere where people are half naked and tanned, or a place somewhere
in Mexico[ which is not that far from the US].. But, picking these places I am going to is already way beyond my usual hangout places[ Tierra Mia, WalMart, the mall,etc.]..I am ecstatic!!

Now, what to wear.. I only thought of what I'm going to wear on Monday. I have no clue if it's going to be cold or hot, so I am just going to carry a cardigan with me
[plus a sweater because I'll be out until midnight].

[my earphones should match my outfit, so I had to go change my usual purple one]

I think that's pretty much it for now. I'll be posting my springbreak photos ASAP..
Now, time to go be lazy and watch movies and play videogames all day!!!!
Happy springbreak everyone!!! =]

When almost all is said and done.

It's the second week of March and I just survived a whole week of exams.
Now, I still have one week more of reports and exams before I can finally have some relaxation,
which hopefully will include a day where I wouldn't open and read my notes and just
watch movies I rent at the 99 cent video store nearby.

Yesterday, as a semi-celebration for my close-to-perfect speech,
I spent the whole afternoon with my sister at the mall, skimming through racks and racks
of clothes at F21.I was $32 away from reaching my $100 monthly budget on clothes, yet I still
couldn't resist and ended up spending $40[at least it's not a big difference]..

It was kinda weird though, coz this time I spent it not on clothes, but rather a pair of floral oxfords, 3 belts
and a pair of black sunglasses[emergency sunglasses].
It's still the second week of the month yet I already ran out of budget for shopping..*sad face*
...and I had my eyes on that pair of Doc Martens high top floral shoes[$70]...
Oh well, there's still next month, right? lol

Now, back to my notes... HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Retail Therapy.

Due to the disappointing trip to L.A Fashion District,
I went to my favorite clothing store, a few minutes away from home,
and shopped my heart out..

These are what I bought:

There's actually more than these...It just shows how bad I felt that day..
Now it's all good, and I'm glad I'm back to normal!!!

Lesson Learned.

For years, I have always wondered how the famous
Los Angeles Fashion District looks like and why so many people love going there
despite the humongous crowd flocking at every little stall you pass by.
Last Monday, having no classes because of a holiday, I decided to finally go
and see the place myself, taking a risk of possible injury both physical and financial.

IT WAS A BIT OF A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

  • the place was packed and it felt like we were sardines in a can.
  • baby strollers made it even harder to walk around.
  • hundreds of stalls, but are selling almost the same exact thing.
  • the "no tax" when purchasing is NOT true!!!
  • was glad to find an electric blue pair of pants, so I quickly bought it..YAY!!!... BUT....
  • I went to my favorite boutique just a few minutes away from home and found the same exact pair of pants but $6 less.. =[
I would probably go back just because of the dollar accessories, but other than that...
I have learned my lesson and I will never go back and buy clothing there..

[other pics to be posted tomorrow...]
